The UK Gift Industry have excelled themselves in their support to the #PromoteTheNHS appeal. Donations are still coming in and the target of 5000 bags nearly reached. The generosity of the donors has been a real eye opener and without their valuable support this campaign would never have got off the ground.
The first tranche of bags were delivered this week to the NHS Nightingale Hospital in Birmingham and were well received by the Director Of Nursing Welfare who stated “ they will really bring a smile to the tired nurses coming off duty at the end of a long shift”. Thank You insert cards neutrally representing all of the contributing companies were inserted into each bag and already the media platforms are starting to receive messages of thanks plus interestingly requests are also coming in from other hospitals due to this awareness. These requests are being accommodated and will be included in the second and final tranche of Goody bags when they come ready within the next ten days.
The appeal still remains open for w/c 20.04.20 only for items that can be delivered by 27.04.20 at which point the organisers will be closing off contributions.
Many of the industry’s suppliers and distributors are supporting #PromoteTheNHS, and showing their appreciation for all of valuable work the National Health Service teams are doing under very difficult circumstances.
- 29 Suppliers companies and 10 Distributor companies are onboard so far…
Thank you to all companies who have participated to date but it is still not too late for those who wish to come on board in the final stages!

#PromoteTheNHS Explained:
Two companies in the industry have come up with an idea on how suppliers and distributors can work together to give something back to the NHS. This is not for anyone’s gain, and every product contribution large or small is of value.
Desktop Ideas and Print Run Promotions are heading up an appeal across the promotional merchandise industry, with the aim to create gift packs to be given away to the dedicated nursing staff who are risking their lives on the front line of the deadly Covid 19 virus. This is our opportunity to come together as professionals to say thank you to those that are helping others in great need.
Initially the gift packs will go to the new London ExCel Nightingale Hospital. If the campaign is successful there will be a roll out to the new hospitals being built at the NEC Birmingham, GMEX Manchester and The Principality Stadium Cardiff. The target is to cover all of these location with £50,000 of goods in pledges.
The regular updates in the link above shows all of the companies that have got involved so far, why not join them…
