Sourcing City are delighted to announce that £12,391 has been donated to Food Banks across the country thanks to donations from generous people and companies across the trade.

 

As part of the Feed a Family Campaign, Sourcing City committed to double all donation made by the trade to their local food banks. This week Sourcing City decided to donate their entire campaign budget, and have made a £10,000 donation to the Trussell Trust. (www.trusselltrust.org)

 

Very recently, Marcus Rashford impressively highlighted how bad the issue is for families across the country, and his honest and decisive action resulted in the Government providing much needed additional support for children in need.

 

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children, and it is hard to think that many of these people can’t even have decent meals every day.

 

We have all been impacted by the current Coronavirus crisis, and even though most of our businesses has been significantly hit, even in this situation very few of us will be short of food, and many of us are still in a better position than the poorest in our society. Surely, everyone deserves to have the food they need.
