Kingly are happy to share that our custom apparel manufacturing is fully operational. Our production facility is internally audited and accredited to the Global organic textile standard (GOTS) and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). ISO 9001 quality control management maintains exceptional high standards of quality whist maintaining the traceability and transparency of our supply chain Management systems. Then its further enhanced by the social side: the people.
We really have to put in question far East standards. How do you value someone’s life in genuinely fair wages and safe work conditions?
Accreditation and choices of fabric
All fabrics, sewing threads, printing, embroidery and accessories all meet the GOTS and or GRS standard, and are supplied by our partners in the European Union. We have reached the stage of dismissing imported fabrics and accessories. In so doing we create ‘cleaner’ more transparent supply chains. All through the production cycle are EU based accredited GRS and GOTS producers. Traceability means everything to us and for that we work on genuine transaction certificates from the third party auditors at Control Union. Transaction certificates are based on your specific order. In so doing your customer is guaranteed genuine EU manufactured apparel.
The choice of fabric is almost limitless. Take for example GOTS organic yarn with 7% banana and 7% pineapples in the mix! How best to prove its true? Through a requested transaction certificate. You can move to the next level with Kingly.
What is a transaction certificate and why do we need it?
According to Textile Exchange, a Transaction Certificate is a “document issued by a certification body that verifies that products being sold or shipped from one organization to another conform to a given Standard and may be treated as claimed materials by the receiver”.
These types of documents are important because they verify that the shipment and product information is both true and accurate and that the flow of goods is documented properly. Everything from the seller and buyer, product weights and certified components are listed on Transaction Certificates. The importance of this is paramount. Far too many producers are “hijacking” illegally the GOTS and GRS standard.
Anti-Greenwashing ticket
We have implemented an anti-greenwashing validation system whereby we can prove our traceability through the third party Cradle to Gate system and certified certifications. All 100% proven, transparent and traceable. Simply put, if there is no internal certification or transaction certificate chances are it’s a fake. We can supply an amazing range of apparel from T-Shirts through to hoodies with many different accessories. The quality ISO 9001 / 14001 and 45001. Not forgetting SMETA Pillar 4. All employees are treated fairly…
Credibility of GOTS and GRS
Products carrying GOTS logos contain the credible assurance of organic origin of the product, as well as environmentally and socially responsible processing. The entire organic supply chain is covered, from harvesting to manufacturing and trading, delivering credible assurance to end consumers.
GOTS prohibits the use of the kinds of chemicals commonly used in textile processing that can cause cancer, birth defects and other serious illnesses. Chemicals, like persistent hormone-disrupting substances, also destroy eco-systems and biodiversity on an international scale.
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled input. The GRS is a full product standard that dictates social and environmental best practices, such as chemical restrictions for fabrics, clothing, garments, accessories, and more.
