Their director , Ruth Poar was pleased to be approached by the Inspire youth zone in Chorley, who asked for her to attend their “all in this together event” to host her own fun and engaging activity in celebration of Pride Month!
Ruth engaged the participants in a fun-filled activity of decorating crown-shaped biscuits with colourful icing and sprinkles. The choice of crown-shaped biscuits was particularly special as it coincided with the celebration of the official king’s birthday on Saturday 17th June. This creative idea from Ruth added an extra touch of significance to the event.
The activity brought together people of all ages, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity and unity. Ruth commented “It was heart-warming to see the enthusiasm and joy on everyone’s faces as they expressed their creativity and support for the LGBTQ+ community”. These beautiful biscuits pictured, adorned with vibrant colours and sprinkles, were a symbol of love, acceptance, and celebration.
Ruth’s initiative to incorporate this activity into the event showcased not only her commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity but also her ability to create memorable and engaging experiences for the community.
