After completing a triathlon in August last year, Ruth Poar, Director of Eat My Logo Ltd, sustained an injury that left her unable to run for five months. Once cleared by her physiotherapist to resume activity, Ruth saw the BPMA challenge as a motivating milestone in her recovery.

To further her progress, Ruth also joined a local Couch to 5K group, and their celebratory 5K run happened to coincide with the end of the Red Nose Day challenge. While she didn’t walk to the moon, over 28 days, she walked and ran a total of 283,315 steps — enough to take her beyond the Kármán line, located 100 km (62 miles) above Earth, the internationally recognised boundary of space.

Ruth is thrilled to have reached space (well, Earth’s upper atmosphere)! In that region, she’d likely experience microgravity and marvel at the breathtaking views of Earth. 🚀🌍

You can still donate to this great cause and celebrate Ruth’s achievement!
