Kingly was honoured to support The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch 2025 on 10 April, one of the most meaningful charitable events in the City of London, where civic heritage meets social action.

As part of our contribution, we donated 50 pairs of our Spitfire socks and 50 pairs of our Tank sockstwo heritage-inspired designs that reflect courage, resilience, and legacy. Each pair was sustainably crafted in our award-winning facility using ethically sourced, certified materials and stands as a symbol of respect and remembrance for those who have served in His Majesty’s Armed Forces.

The event welcomed The Right Honourable Lord Mayor Alastair King, the 696th Lord Mayor of the City of London. Standing proudly beside him was Lady Mayoress Florence King, a committed military reservist, both deeply involved in supporting veterans and their families.

The occasion also honoured the long-standing traditions of the Framework Knitters and the Pikemen and Musketeers, the Lord Mayor’s ceremonial guard dressed in the historic 17th-century uniform of the Honourable Artillery Company.

The Framework Knitters alone raised around £4,000, contributing to the more than £400,000 raised at the 2025 Lunch in support of Armed Forces Charities. These funds provide vital assistance to veterans and their families, focusing on mental well-being, reskilling, and employment as they transition to civilian life. Since the event’s inception in 2008, over £3.7 million has been distributed to support veterans of His Majesty’s Armed Forces.

“Our participation reflects a broader commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and meaningful social impact. Every product we make is designed with purpose—from the materials we choose to the partners we stand beside. This contribution was a message of gratitude, unity, and respect”, said Rob Armour, CEO of Kingly.

Through partnerships like The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch, we are reminded of the profound impact that comes when communities unite around a shared purpose. Together, we honour the past, support the present, and help build a future grounded in dignity, opportunity, and lasting impact.
