In celebration of Plastic Free July®, a global movement that helps millions be part of the solution to plastic pollution by creating cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Castelli is committed to minimising plastic use throughout our supply chain, distribution, and shipping practices.
Here’s how we’re making a difference:
Packaging Reduction: In the first half of 2023, plastic constituted less than 3% of our total packaging, as reported on the National Packaging Waste Database (NPWD). We’re proud to claim that we ONLY ship pallets wrapped in paper, having completely abolished plastic wrapping of shipments this year. 📦➡️📜
Customer Packaging Review: We’ve eliminated plastic air pockets in our packaging, opting for a paper-based alternative that’s easy for our customers to recycle or reuse while still providing excellent product protection. 📦🌱
Eco-Friendly Branding: Our digital print branding process has moved from shrink wrapping to a recyclable paper-based solution, ensuring product protection and environmental consciousness. We have eliminated shrink wrapping completely. Instead, we use paper wrap. 🖨️♻️
Plastic-Free Boxes: We no longer use any plastic banding on any boxes or pallets.
Eliminating Plastic Bags: We no longer use plastic bags within our packaging.
Recycling Plastic: All plastic is recycled where possible in the most sustainable way.
Cardboard Boxes: All our products are boxed in cardboard boxes.
Paper-Wrapped Supplies: All our paper stock arrives wrapped in paper directly from the paper supplier mill.
Craft Paper Tape: We only use paper tape rather than plastic tape.
