Dear Diary,
Having recently joined Team A at Abbeygate Manufacturing ‘The home of quality diaries, notebooks, and leather gifts’, I was thrilled to be part of the latest show at Merchandise World!
Driving to Coventry to set up the stand, I was feeling quite nervous but very excited to see the venue transform from an empty hall into an array of stands accentuated by the bright pink carpet of Merchandise World.
Once we arrived, the setup for the stand quickly commenced. Our conscientious team were all-hands-on-deck with setting up the stand for our The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe theme.
After many hours of perfecting our stand, Team A travelled through the dark and foggy Coventry in seek of our much-needed hotel beds!

Dear Diary,
We were all up bright and early and my nerves were beginning to grow as we headed back to the arena ready for the start of the show. Upon our arrival, as we weaved through all the exhibitors’ vibrant and unique stands, we darted towards the crucial coffee and bacon butty stand!
People quickly began filing in and before I knew it, we were all talking to the many visitors at our stand. I was very pleased to discuss our SMETA pillar 4 audited factory in India alongside our Made in Walsall, England with Pride service.
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many of our existing customers and welcoming new clients with the help of our rainbow Abbeygate lion – the ‘mane’ attraction! Moreover, the brand-new launch of our diverse Vegan Leather Luxury Gift Range, for the corporate, hospitality and travel sectors, was a mighty success.
Suddenly, we had almost reached the end of Day 1, but we were far too busy sharing the ’roaring’ success of our Express Notebooks, which offer a 5-7 working day service and a rainbow of colours to reflect the magnificent spirit of our Abbeygate lion!
As Day 1 concluded, Team A returned into the night in search of the all-important hotel bar for the celebration of a successful first day!

Dear Diary,
After a splendid evening with the team, we were all ready and raring to head to the arena for the final bacon butty!
To our delight Day 2 was even more of a success! I took great pride in divulging news on our Eco Notebooks, all made with FSC recycled paper. Particularly, our unique Ocean Clean Notebooks contained an interesting narrative about the retrieval of rPET plastic from our Oceans, which was a joy to share. Additionally, our colourful Applejack Notebooks, with covers containing up to 37% of organic industrial waste from the cider and hospitality sectors, were an allure to all.
And just like that we had reached the end of the show! The speed of Team A’s deconstruction of the stand was Olympic standard and as efficiently as we arrived, we headed home.
A massive thank you to all our customers, new and existing, for making the show such a success for all of us here at Abbeygate. As a result of such an intense week Team A thought you all deserve a bit of wellbeing restoration! Therefore, we are proud to announce the winner our Luxury Wellbeing Hamper raffle prize is Helen Louka at Ellenell! Congratulations to you!
