United Bag Store are proud to promote a range of eco, fairtrade bags and share the fantastic impact this has on the cotton farmers that help us produce them. We have a new and unique relationship that filters all the way back to the individual farmers that pick the cotton used to make our bags. This means we can see and hear directly how our bag sales improve the lives of so many people.
Certificates the bags hold:
- Fairtrade is an international standard which certifies the cotton in garments. Through the certification, the farmers are guaranteed a Fairtrade minimum price to cover the cost for a sustainable production.
- 100% Organic Cotton. No pesticides or genetically modified substances are used in production of organic cotton. This reduces the health risks to the farmers and their family and the pollution of the soil
- Oeko-Tex is a symbol that shows that the ready garment doesn’t contain harmful chemicals. It guarantees that the product is REACH compliant.
