The BPMA has announced Haydn Willetts, long time BPMA Board Director and Vice Chair was unanimously appointed as BPMA Chair at the Association’s Annual General Meeting on 2nd November.
Willetts, who is Regional Director for UK & Ireland at Midocean, succeeds Angela Wagstaff, founder of Allwag who has held the Chair position for the last three years. Wagstaff was supported by Graeme Smith, Cyan Group in his role as President of the Association. Angela Wagstaff now becomes President for the next two years.
Together with three new Board appointments, Clive Allcott (DTB Europe), Jamie Marshall (Premier Print & Promotions) and Billy Hussain (Alvastone), the BPMA Board represents a wide ranging set of experienced business leaders.
Stepping up to the Chair position is happening at pivotal moment for the industry says new Chair, Haydn Willetts. Commenting in the latest issue of Product Media Magazine (November December Issue), Willetts hopes to carry on where his predecessor left off, providing stability in this continued period of change. Thanking Angela Wagstaff for her incredible service to the BPMA during her time as Chair, he will look to further the work of BPMA members to end users, continue the best practice and compliant approach to help every member do business brilliantly.
Commenting in the need for respect in the industry, he said ‘There is pressure on all sides of the supply chain and everybody wants everything immediately. We all strive to do our best but with the sheer volume of transactions taking place at present, issues can arise. Talk to each other more to understand the situations fully. Everybody has the same end goal to put as much merchandise out in front of people as possible’.
