At last….back to Warwick

“We were finally back at Warwick again for the Ignite Exhibition and race day, despite the weather delivering the first ever wet day in over ten years, this did not dampen the enthusiasm. Another magnificent turnout from our members, with endless comments of how wonderful it was to be out and about again. Very emotional for some; to see two of our suppliers hug and then burst into tears was exceptionally moving. Both Collie and I would like to add a massive thank you to our loyal supply base who had a very long week starting off in Manchester, on to Warwick and then to Celtic Manor for the Fluid weekend, stamina indeed!”   Richard Pettinger – Ignite Group

There was something of the old first day of a new school year feeling about coming to the Ignite event after having not seen anyone for 18 months.  More than a few nerves, smarter clothes I hadn’t worn since the last event – how was it all going to feel? Emotional for sure!

The nerves swiftly disappeared as I met up with supplier friends with whom WhatsApp had been the main contact for so long which just isn’t the same – social distancing went out of the window to be honest, yes, we hugged and there were some happy tears about our return to some normality. Thank you to Richard and Collie for putting on such a great event, it really was an absolute pleasure to see everyone and such a positive vibe about how we all move forward together again.

Thank you so much for hosting the Ignite Race Day this year, what a fantastic day to reunite with Suppliers! It honestly felt quite surreal for me as this was my first industry event in over a year and a half. It was wonderful to be able to get hands on with products again, and then continue to reconnect over good food, wine and horse racing! What a day. Thanks again Richard, it really was a great day and I’ll be sure to come again!

What a fantastic opportunity to catch up with everyone and network with all the ignite catalogue suppliers. Lots of fun, food and beverages were had by all and even made a few pennies on the horses. It was a extremely enjoyable day and I look forward to the 2022 event.
