Outstanding Branding have always held the wellbeing of their team at the centre of their core company values (Respect, Understanding, Creativity and Professionalism), this has never been more true than during lockdown. As well as company health care and management coaches the team have also implemented their own ways to look after one another. During Mental Health Awareness Week the team decided to open this philosophy through their own acts of kindness, along with daily Vlogs about what #MentalHealth meant to them.
Global Sales and Marketing Director Andy Thorne started the week of kind acts by donating 200 social distancing t shirts (in partnership with PF Concept) to homeless charity One Love Soup Kitchen, Southend. These were then given to the homeless guys and girls they look after as well as keeping staff and volunteers at a healthy and safe distance.
Tuesday saw Sales Manager Becci and her partner Grant donate materials and their time to build a patio and outdoor space to a vulnerable family who have been self isolating, allowing the family to enjoy the sunshine during a time they have not been able to go outside.
On Wednesday CEO Sarah Penn donated 50 “Hug: from a distance” t shirts to Thames Hospice, an incredible team that looked after both her mum and grandmother, Sarah has said “their work is phenomenal, their compassion beyond belief and their team are angels!”.
Joey joined #TeamOB during lockdown, Joey has only met the team virtually but embodies the values that Outstanding Branding prides themselves in. On the Thursday of #MHAW Joey donated clothes to Obedience, a youth Christian organisation which supports the homeless in areas of London. Support includes hot food, clothing and toiletries as well information on hostels to sleep in.
Self care was the theme for Friday, #TeamOB took some time out to work on their own well being. Tess Castles donated 1 hour of personal training, pilates and meditation online and in return Outstanding Branding donated £100 to Mind whilst the team also made their own individual donation to the same charity. The Tea Party in the afternoon focused on mental health and how to have an open conversation with colleagues and friends alike and the team sharing how they feel good after a hard day.
Outstanding Branding will continue to support their teams and surrounding communities through out this unprecedented time and beyond.
