Laltex Group recently welcomed a group of young people from Wigan Youth Zone and Greater Manchester Youth Network to its head office for an event called ‘WoW’ – World of Work. The aim of this initiative is to provide insight into different career paths and help young people understand the variety of roles within a business.

During their visit, the group toured the facility, learning about departments such as warehouse operations, sales and administration, marketing, design, finance and leadership. The experience gave them a chance to see how different teams work together and explore potential career opportunities.

A highlight of the day was a visit to the in-house print room, where each young person had the chance to personalise their own water bottles using a laser engraving machine. This hands-on activity allowed them to see the process behind product customisation and take home a unique memento from the visit.

Throughout the event, team members shared their career experiences and answered questions, encouraging discussions about different pathways into the world of work. The group showed great enthusiasm, making the day an engaging and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Laltex Group is pleased to support initiatives that connect young people with the workplace. The positive response to this event has encouraged them to continue engaging with the community and providing opportunities for young people to learn about different career options.

Laltex Group looks forward to future collaborations with Wigan Youth Zone, Greater Manchester Youth Network and other organisations to help support young people build bright futures.
