Kingly had the honour of welcoming Mrs. Renske Vos, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the South African Embassy in Bulgaria, to its headquarters and zero-waste manufacturing facility in Sofia on 23 April 2025.

This visit marks the second diplomatic tour of Kingly’s operations, following the visit of His Excellency Nathaniel Copsey, British Ambassador to Bulgaria. It represents a significant milestone in Kingly’s journey to promote ethical, transparent, and environmentally responsible textile production.

Mrs. Vos was received by Mr. Robert Armour, CEO of Kingly, and his assistant, Mrs. Sharika Betts, for a detailed tour of Kingly’s award-winning facility. The visit showcased the company’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, built upon leading global certifications and audits, including EcoVadis Platinum (Top 1%), OEKO-TEX® STeP Level 3, GOTS, ISO 9001 & 14001, and Sedex SMETA Pillar 4.

Discussions focused on Kingly’s Cradle-to-Gate sustainability tracking system, circular production model, and commitment to social responsibility, highlighting shared values with the South African diplomatic mission.

Beyond the tour, the meeting sparked promising dialogue around future collaboration in ethical manufacturing and innovation. The visit held personal significance, with both Mr. Armour and Mrs. Betts having strong South African roots.

This visit was not just symbolic—it reaffirmed our belief that global partnerships are key to a more responsible and collaborative industry,” said Armour. “We are proud to share our journey with the South African Embassy and explore future possibilities together.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Renske Vos and the South African Embassy for their visit, their support, and their shared commitment to a sustainable future.
